Deepika Padukone donned a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble at Cannes and we just couldn’t get enough! It was an ivory chiffon saree with organza ruffles all along the border. For the blouse, she wore a silver embellished strapless blouse. However, the star element of the look was the Victorian-inspired collar made of pearls. She completed her look with heavily studded earrings and minimalistic makeup and her hair tied in a bun added to the elegance of the attire. You can achieve a look similar to this by pairing your ruffle sarees with an embellished cape or some surface-textured jewellery.

The Silky Elegance

For one of the many receptions that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone hosted, Deepika chose a golden silk saree for a traditional look. She paired that with a white full-sleeved blouse keeping it a bit simple. She made sure to go heavy on the jewellery with her look – a four-layer choker made of emerald stones with a huge circular pendant of the same type and matching stud earrings. Along with that, she layered her jewellery with a five-layer pearl long necklace for some added glam. Her choice of jewellery complemented the royal vibe of the attire. She kept her makeup simple and her hair sleek. To add to the traditional spirit, she added a bindi and some gajra too.

The Pleated Paradise

Deepika Padukone’s fashion choices often reflect her vibrant personality, and her yellow saree look is a prime example. Payal Khandwala created elegance high on style factor with this pastel yellow and blue pleated saree. This is definitely one of those most-wanted looks for all of us. Her organza saree was completed with a high-neck sleeveless plain yellow blouse in the same pleated fabric. If it has sequins – it’s going on this list. We saw a quite literally visually striking look from Deepika for her Cannes Jury moment from last year. She wore a gold-and-black striped, hand-embroidered sequin saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee with a strapless black sequin blouse. But what really stood out was her accessories – a headband with stunning motifs, colourful chandelier earrings, and some rings. Her makeup included very bold graphic black eyelids with a nude base for her face. Her hairdo screamed retro! We are certain this look will turn heads at any wedding reception or cocktail party.
